Third Thursday Night Spinners

Please join us at Wild Iris Books for Third Thursday Spinners on January 20th, 2011 from 6-8 PM; bring your wheel or drop spindle and some fiber and sit with others to do some spinning! Please note the time change - previously we have met from 5-7 (since when we used to meet at Hanks, we closed at 7) but since Wild Iris is open until 9 we have pushed our meeting back an hour!

I just moved back to the area (well, to Alachua, but close enough...).

Is the SnB still meeting on Sunday afternoons?

Hi Liz! We do - I know things died down over December when everyone was either busy or sick (or both, ugh); but we meet at the Books-a-Million on NW 13th St on Sundays from 2-4:30!

Oh yay! I can't make it this Sunday, but I'm planning on being there next Sunday. (I'm still a pretty new knitter...finishing up my first kid's sweater).

Do you meet in the cafe?

hi, i found your site on the gainesville handweavers guild, and i was wondering if you rent spinning wheels? I'm so interesting in buying one but would like to try a few out first. I've been on a spindle so far, but i can't wait to spin enough for a big project ; ) thanks Kat
