Yarn club reminder
2010/2011 Sock Club:
There are three options for the 2010/2011 club. Please read the options carefully and choose the one that best suits your wants and desires. If you are leaning towards the three-month option, please note that Option 2 is for semi-solid yarns (such as our colors Irish Coffee, Green Grass, and Grey Gardens), and that Option 3 is for multi-colored yarns (such as our colors The 80's Have Called, Sock Monkey, and Sweet Baby James). The prices for all options include shipping.
Option 1 –
$155
You will get six 400-yard skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn, one each during the months of October, December, February, April, June, and August. This must be paid for by September 26th, 2010.
$80
You will get three semi-solid 400-yard skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn, one each during the months of October, February, and June. This must be paid for by September 26th, 2010.
$80
You will get three multi-color 400-yard skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn, one each during the months of December, April, and August. This must be paid for by November 15th, 2010.
And now, the pinky swear: we promise to send you hand-dyed sock yarn and we promise to do our best to produce a quality product. We promise that the color for each month will not be for sale in our shop until six months after the month that we send it to you. We understand that the colors we choose to dye may not wind up being your particular favorite; we ask that just as we are not selling that color in a retail setting for six months, that you also do the same and promise not to sell anything you don’t like until after the six month mark.
2010/2011 Lace Club:
We are doing a very limited lace club! There is one option for this club:
$90
You will get three semi-solid 1300-yard skeins of hand-dyed lace yarn, one each during the months of October, February, and June. These will be the same colors of the corresponding sock club. This must be paid for by September 26th, 2010.
This club comes with the same pinky swear: We promise to send you hand-dyed lace yarn and we promise to do our best to produce a quality product.

Has it been six months already? My, how time flies! It's hard to believe that sock club is halfway over. We're putting the finishing touches on the April yarn now, and it should be ready in about a week. Meanwhile, though...

The October 2009 sock club colorway, Sweet Baby James, is now available and for sale! Right now we have it in just the original Bamboo base sock yarn - swing by or give us a call in the shop if you can't live without it!

Sock Club reminder
Spots in the 2009/2010 Sock Club will go up for sale tomorrow - Saturday 08/15/08, at 12:30 PM (Eastern time, or whatever Florida is on). Obviously if you are in town you can swing by after lunch. But what if you’re interested but aren’t local? Rather than put this up for sale as an item on our online store, we would prefer that you call us (352.338.7222) after 12:30 tomorrow so that we can go over the three different options with you, and discuss shipping.
Sock club spots will remain open until Monday, September 14th, or until we hit capacity (we will post here and on Ravelry if capacity is close to being achieved).

June sock club yarn is ready!
Wednesday, June 10, 2009
Apple Harvest is now available!
The December 2008 sock club colorway, Apple Harvest, is now available for sale (this also means that if you are in the club and the colors just weren’t for you, feel free to sell or trade for something else).

We should have it up on our website by the end of the week in both Superwash Merino and Merino/Bamboo sock. Both yarns come in 400-yard skeins; the Merino retails for $20 and the Bamboo for $22.
Here are a pair of Leyburn socks by Lynn -

And I really stretched mine out by combining them with another yarn for a slipped-stitch pair of socks; so much so that I also had enough for a pair of knucks -

We've made some executive changes to the colorway after feedback from club members; there is a little bit less dark green and dark brown, and about twice as much red.
Enjoy!

The December sock club yarn is ready!
My deep apologies for being about a week behind on this (I've asked Sharon to smack me the next time I decide I want to do a complicated dye job the same week that I also want to put the class schedule together, especially if I want to do all of that between major holidays...) but the December sock club yarn is ready. If you are out of town, your yarn has been mailed to you, and I think the person who has to wait the longest (depending on the Royal Post) should get hers by the Friday or Saturday after Christmas. The in-town people have been notified via Ravelry that the yarn is ready for them to pick up.

Here is a picture of the undyed yarn (not black & white this time! Just... white!). This month’s selection is a new base for us; a 65% merino/35% bamboo yarn. We hope you like it! I've already started knitting with mine, and as soon as I hear from everyone that they've gotten theirs, I'll post a picture of the socks-in-progress.

Sock Yarn club update
We have had many comments from people who missed the sign-ups for the sock club, so we have decided to offer it again. Through Monday, December 8th (or earlier, if the spots fill up), you can choose one of the two following options (Options 1 & 2 are already closed):
Option 3 (four spots available) -
$50 for in-store pickup/$65 with shipping
You will get three 400-yard skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn, one each during the months of December, April, and August.
Option 4 (four spots available) –
$80 for in-store pickup/$105 with shipping
You will get five 400-yard skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn, one each during the months of December, February, April, June, and August.

October 2008 sock club yarn: Purple Raven
All of the sock club yarn has been picked up, so now I can show off a photo of the actual colorway (remember the black & white teaser a couple weeks ago?)--

The colorway is called "Purple Raven" and so far the response has been 100% positive; so this will become a permanent colorway in our Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye line in about six months!
