Countdown to Fiber-In (32 days)

It's just a little over a month until the Florida Fiber-in - are you going? We are!

Why should you go? Over the next month, we'll give you good reasons (just in case you haven't already booked your rooms, rented a car, etc, like SOME of us)... starting with reason #1... our friend Celena, who dyes the very popular Rocket Yarn, is teaching a demo!

9:00 – 9:45 – Two Sock Yarn Dyeing Methods – Celena Crews, Rocket Yarn, Lake City, FL

Come see Celena share how she creates yarn to "Dye" for! Two of her sock yarn dyeing methods will be demonstrated and she will explain her "method vs. colorway" system of dyeing yarn.

The Friday night group was pleased to still be in the shop when Celena dropped off some more Rocket Yarn and Rocket Roving (including a new lace weight)! -



Believe it or not, some of this even made it through the weekend! If you're not local, feel free to give us a call here at the shop if you want to know what we still have available.

Rocket Yarn in solids!

Are you familiar with Rocket Yarn?



Rocket Yarn is dyed locally near us, just about an hour north in Lake City. These solids are new for her, as she usually dyes in multi-colored tones. We don't sell the Rocket Yarn online, but if you're not local and are interested in getting some, give us a call at the shop (352-338-7222).

In-store only goodies

This week we got in some sock yarn goodies (technically you can knit anything with these yarns, not just socks); both Rocket Yarn and Mind's Eye Yarn. We don't sell either of these online as both of them sell on Etsy already; but if you're not local you are always welcome to give us a call at the shop and we can ring you up over the phone and mail the yarn out to you!

This one is for the locals-- we have some new Rocket Yarn in! Rocket Yarn is dyed locally in Lake City by the very talented Celena; this time around she did some in her standard Merino/Nylon base, but she's also trying out a new Merino/Silk base. Come and get it!
