The "c" word
We got in the Spring 2008 Interweave Crochet magazine (with some very cute patterns!) in this week, and they sent us a little sticker that we could not wait to put up in the window --

Class: Intro to Crochet (Crochet an Afghan)
April 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2008
Thursdays
6 PM - 8 PM
$100 | Materials Included
During the six weeks of this class even someone who has never picked up a hook before can make a beautiful 18-panel afghan. Learn new techniques in each class by doing one square, and then practice your new skills over the week by making two more at home. At the end of the class not only will you have a luxurious, soft, multi-colored afghan, but you will be able to apply what you've learned to almost any other crochet project you can think of.
Classes do fill up early; so please reserve your space in the class by paying in advance, as it is unlikely we will be able to accommodate walk-ins. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about this class, or any other classes that we will be offering in the future.

A Question for the Crocheters
I know, I know, I rely on y'all a lot! It's mostly because I can barely crochet my way out of paper sack (I mean, really, you have seen this, right? Who in their right minds would have let me finish that?!). Obviously I trust your judgment better than I trust my own.
Could anyone recommend either some hot crochet books, or a pattern line, that you'd like to recommend we carry in the shop? Feel free to email us if you don't feel like commenting. We'd really appreciate your input.
Thanks, y'all!

Class: Crochet your first hat
Saturday February 9 and 16, 2008
2-5 PM
$50/materials included

While this class would be a little easier if you have some crochet experience, even a new crocheter will be able to get the hang of these simple increases easily. In the course of two weeks, you'll learn to crochet a hat similar to the one pictured above (you'd have to provide your own skeleton, though) by starting at the crown at the hat and increasing down.
We still have seats open in this class; call or come by the shop if you are interested in taking the class!
