I don't like large projects that are deadline-driven or time-sensitive. That means I can't give in to my ADD and start some socks or a hat mid-stream.
I like larger projects, but with enough other projects going on to make them feel less like a chore. Because knitting should NEVER feel like a chore! :)
Well, I've made LOTS of prs of socks so far, so I guess normally, I do small things. I have done 3 shawls and several wraps, though. I do want to make a top - there's a pattern in a book I read I'm dying to try. Unfortunately, I forgot to copy, so I have to get back to the library! Eek - I want to do larger projects, so what does that make me?
SOCKS! Or mitts. :D Something small that I can take to work. Highly portable. Easy to grab and stuff in the bag.
I'm so predictable, lol!
I'm definitely in the sock bus. I love sweaters, but they take me forever... and with my short attention span (oh look! A chicken!) I get distracted very easily. Having a quick project likes socks is perfect! I have made afghans before... and as much as I love them when they're finished, I have to face the fact that I'm just not cut out for a project like that.
I like to mix it up. Though I've never made anything as large as an afghan (I'm going to be doing half of a baby blanket soon.), I like to have a sweater or top on the needles, along with a pair of socks and one other in between project. I'll get obsessed with one or another and focus solely on that, so it's not like I'm doing them all at once.
I'm doing the other half of the baby blanket... and that will be the largest project I've done so far. And that's just about as large as I want to get.
