If going to only one shop counts as a yarn crawl, then I've been on two. Last year, a bunch of us went down to Dunnellon just to go The Stitch Niche and have lunch.
I also dragged Daniel and our friend Emily to The Knit Cafe and Lettuce Knit while we were in Toronto for a Harry Potter symposium. They were very kind and patient with me. :)
Oh yes! One to Philly and this past weekend we did a few shops in NJ - both times were great, the yarn shops were more than happy to see 10 knitters enter in mass - and believe me when I tell you, we bought yarn!
Oh! And I would be hard-pressed to say which one exactly was the best. Since each one involved spending the day with friends, laughing, fondling yarn, and maybe having a little drink or two... they were all Good Times. I love seeing different yarn stores, fondling things I've only heard about, and making stories we can laugh and smile about for years afterwards. Each one was "the best".

I haven't been on a yarn crawl. They do sound like fun, though!
Have fun on yours! :D

Sigh.
I guess my friends and I must be a little wacko about the yarn crawls... (I hope I don't mess up the formatting on this... here goes!)
We've been to Tampa... a multi-city crawl with my sister-in-law... to Sarasota... Leesburg and Orlandoish... back to Leesburg again... and, uhm, again... and one more time.
How did I not get any photos of Beth and I in New York, when I went up to see The Pogues?!
Never mind, we have better NY photos... a five-day yarn crawl.
So. Yeah. Clearly we are all about the yarn crawl...

Heee - I'd almost forgot about the NYC trip! That was such fun. And it was my FIRST visit to a LYS! You broke my yarn cherry! ;)
